Did I mention I hate drawing cars? and I still have another page of them to go. Ugh. From now on everyone will be on horseback. And just a reminder, the LKS Super Awesome Contest is still rocking, so get your submissions in to and bring your A game because we got some nice ones already! Deadline is March 15th, but don't dilly dally damnit

Effigy_Power 15th Feb 2010, 8:37 PM edit delete
You may hate drawing them, but you sure are good at it.
Shaman 17th Feb 2010, 7:19 PM edit delete
SWEET, DUDE!!! YOU UPDATED!!! I've been waiting for this forever LOL ;P

Can i ask you a question though? Why does your black fade to grey when you get to the bottom of the page???
AngryRob 17th Feb 2010, 8:17 PM edit delete
Ugh, it fades because of the whole rigamorole I gotta go through to scan. I draw on 17x11 inch Bristol board, but I don't have a large format scanner so I have to make copies first, and the copies sometimes don't come out that great. I'm still looking for a cheap large format scanner and when I get one I'll rescan all of chapter 2. PS I like your avatar (notice Cold is wearing Sephiroths coat)

Well, I do!

That meant to say...

I see me!

Well, I do! :)

The cars look kind of compact which gives me a cyberpunk vibe, because anything that looks like the future makes me happy.

Having technology problems sucks. Especially when it takes away from the art. You didn't get into comics to fiddle with robo-tronics! What an outrage!
Shaman 19th Feb 2010, 8:10 PM edit delete
Oh cool, hadn't noticed that! Thanks, man ;P

Have you tried working with 9X11 bristol pages? What size is your scanner?
AngryRob 19th Feb 2010, 8:54 PM edit delete
it's an 8 1/2 x 11 scanner. I did the whole first chapter on 8 1/2 x 11 but moved to the 11x17 because it gave me more room to work, and you need 11x17 originals to print in comic format (which I'm looking into)
Shaman 19th Feb 2010, 10:00 PM edit delete
Really? I did not know that. How does printing in comic book format work exactly? I might have to switch myself ;P

Oh, btw, CONGRATS ON BEING THE BEST RATED COMIC!!! I had absolutely nothing to do with that, dishonestly :))
AngryRob 19th Feb 2010, 10:35 PM edit delete
Ha, I noticed your number of ratings went up, thanks for the boost. Now if only I could get more subscribers.

11x17 shrinks down to comic size (I forget the measurement) withough skewing the image. Also the larger format makes for a clearer image when shrunk. If you print at 1:1 size ratio, your mistakes are going to be way more noticible. And if you go to editors with 9x11 they won't even look at your portfolio
Shaman 20th Feb 2010, 12:55 AM edit delete
Holy shit!!! I had no idea!!! Thanks for that mega info :))

I always have a problem with shrinking down my sketches on photoshop from my 9x11( or 12, i can't remember). They look all pixelised. I think it's cause my lines are too thin :((

Got any info to give on copywriting your own creations??? It's pretty much the only thing preventing me to put up my own comic book on here ;)
AngryRob 20th Feb 2010, 1:44 AM edit delete
Once you post something on the Internet it's automatically copyrighted to you, granted it's not the best way to copyright but it is free, also printing up copies of your comic, copyrighted. Publishing them in any form gives you a legal copyright to your unique creation. If you want to make absolutely sure your ass is covered you can pay for a notorized copyright which starts at about 5-10 dollars

WOW!!! THANKS!!! I guess now i can get crackin, on it ;)

Whoo. I caught back up again.

Great stuff, all of it.
I think I have seen your artwork somewhere before.

A simple disclaimer for the Creative Commons License also works just fine.

Hey Robby, it's been like almost 2 weeks....
Mooooore LKS pleeeeze.
AngryRob 27th Feb 2010, 5:16 PM edit delete
If you eat all your veggies, brush your teeth, and don't hit your sister I might have something for you on Monday.

Bishop and Shane, glad you guys like LKS, hopefully chapter 3 will update more often.

What the hell are you doing, drawing pages that don't have Outburst on them? She is the greatest comic book character ever created other than Batman and some others and could beat Chuck Norris in a fight. And I'm just saying, OUTBURST ON EVERY PAGE.

Also I'm about halfway done with your Christmas present and it's so awesome I might not be able to part with it and will just give you a gift card instead. Teehee.
Spooky72 2nd Mar 2010, 1:23 AM edit delete
Damnit this thing keeps signing me out. LAME-O.
Shaman 3rd Mar 2010, 6:32 PM edit delete
What do you mean by a "simple disclaimer", Effigy_Power?

AngryRob- I'm a vegetarian, 1 year old only child... where's the next page?!?!?!!! LOL ;P
Noksom 4th Mar 2010, 1:45 AM edit delete
Great page man, but we gotta bump up the contrast homeboy! And kill the bit mapness.
